Requirements for the cremation process
Among the oldest forms of burial, cremation is today a widely used practice, which in Italy is governed by very strict regulations requiring numerous conditions to be met.
According to the law, in order to access cremation services, the deceased must have left clear testamentary instructions, declared their wish to entrust a relative with their wishes, or be a member of a Cremation Society (such as So.Crem).
For any information regarding the cremation process, we invite you to contact us: you can call us, send us an email, or visit us directly at our office in Soncino.
Procedures for the scattering of ashes
In order to carry out cremation services in compliance with the law, it is necessary to have certain essential documents, which our agency's staff will collect and submit. Specifically, these include:
- a death certificate signed by the examining physician;
- a declaration from the attending doctor or family members confirming that the deceased did not have a pacemaker (to be submitted to the crematorium);
- a document stating the deceased’s wish to be cremated, whether it be a will, membership of a cremation association, or a statutory declaration. In the case of wishes expressed by family members, a copy of the relevant ID document must also be provided.
We also take care of the ash scattering service, fully respecting the final wishes of the deceased and those of the family.
